How Should My Bee's Knees Fit?

Your our Goldilocks. We'll guide you to the fit that's just right.

Too Small

If your knee pads are too small, you’ll have a lot of exposed Velcro and not a lot of strap overlap. You run the risk of your straps popping open while you’re dancing. If you can get them on, but they are stretched to the max, the lack of give in the straps can cause discomfort and irritation.

Too Large

If your knee pads are too large, you’ll have a lot of extra strap hanging off the edge, and you run the risk of the knee pads sliding around too much while you're dancing. If you really have to pull the straps tight to get the knee pads to stay in place, the lack of give in the straps will feel uncomfortable.

Just Right

No more than a half inch or so of play in either direction is ideal. Our bodies change day to day and hour to hour; the beauty of Bee’s Knees Knee Pads is that you can adjust the straps to accommodate those fluctuations. Having the right balance of strap overlap and stretch is the key to a perfect fit!

Fit FAQ

What if I’m on the edge of a size range?

Bee’s Knees Knee Pads have some stretch, but your soft measuring tape doesn’t. If you're on the edge of a size range, size down, not up. Feeling skeptical because nothing ever fits? Believe this: my most common exchange is 3XL → 2XL. You might be surprised how well they fit.

Does it matter which leg I measure?

Measure your dominant leg (the one you naturally lead with). And yes, it’s totally normal to have legs that aren’t exactly the same size—you're a human, not a mannequin!

How do I know if I need Strap Extenders?

If you're in between sizes or your size fluctuates significantly, strap extenders are your best friend. Add them to your kit for a custom-feeling fit.

What if I get the wrong size?

As long as your knee pads were only tried on for size (not trained in), I’ve got you. You’ll need to cover the cost of shipping your original pair back to me, but other than that, I’ll do everything I can to make your exchange as smooth as possible!

How do I wash and care for my Bee’s Knees Knee Pads?

Remove the pad inserts, and strap up the straps to prevent snags. Machine wash cold in a washing bag. Always air dry—no heat, no dryer. When you’re not using them, keep the straps neatly strapped.

How often should I change my pad inserts?

Our pad inserts typically last one to two months, depending on how hard you train. You can subscribe to inserts so you never forget to replace them!

Need to Swap Your Size?

No problem! As long as your Bee's Knees Knee Pads are unused and just tried on for size, contact me Bee to get help with sizing and to arrange an exchange.
