All Natural Body + Skin Care for Pole Dancers

Pole is a demanding practice that sometimes leaves our bodies feeling sore, tired, and even bruised. Our muscles take a beating, but so does our skin. The friction burns, craggy callouses, and lizard patches from using rubbing alcohol and gallons of grip aid all take a toll on the body’s largest organ.

What if there were skin care products you could use to combat the damage pole does to your skin?

What if those skin care products used all natural ingredients?

And what if they smelled amazing and worked well?

Meet Apolethecary.

Apolethecary, founded by fellow pole dancer and studio owner Lucia, offers a range of all-natural body and skin care products tailor made for needs and demands of pole dancers. With a background in chemistry and a deep commitment to simple, effective ingredients, Lucia has created a line that not only nourishes your skin but also helps you recover and perform at your best.

  • All Natural: Apolethecary prioritizes the use of simple and natural ingredients with names you can pronounce.
  • Sustainable: Each product uses ethically sourced ingredients that come in refillable containers.:
  • Made for Pole: These aren’t multisport solutions or generics. They are tailor made for the needs and demands of pole dancers.

The Apolethecary Product Suite:

Each product is formulated to be effective, of course, but Lucia’s nickname isn’t "Boujie Loochie" for nothing! Everything in Apolethecary’s line up smells great and feels luxurious. Here’s the run down:

  • Antidote, the Grip Remover: Covered in grip at the end of class? Antidote is a no-rinse way to remove all grip aids while soothing worked and tired skin.
  • Prime, the Skin Prep: Prime your skin 30 to 60 minutes before pole class to add dewy moisture that adds a little tack without compromising your grip.
  • Ritual, the Body Wash: Your new shower Ritual: cleanse and moisturize your skin with this body wash so you can stick to the pole without feeling sticky.

I’ve used each and every product, and Antidote is a mainstay in my Pole Bag. It’s a genius idea, and I can’t believe someone didn’t think of making a grip remover sooner!

My newest fave is Prime. I have lizard skin, so 10 months out of the year when it's cold and dry here, my pole life sucks. Prime is technically a skin primer that adds healthy moisture and leaves your skin tacky, but I use it as a grip aid. It replicates the two months out of the year during the summer when I am naturally grippy. I threw all my other grips our because they dried up when I stopped using them. It's all Prime now.

Why I Love Apolethecary

Lucia is a very close friend, but I could have just bought her products, used and enjoyed them, and left it at that. Instead, I decided to shout out Apolethecary products to everyone I know.

Why?

I believe in supporting brands that share BK’s values. Apolethecary perfectly aligns with my mission to offer well-made and thoughtfully designed products made for pole and the people who do it.

Just like Bee's Knees, Apolethecary understands the unique needs of pole dancers and strives to provide high-quality products that enhance your experience both on and off the pole.

I mean, who else was working their ass off to formulate a grip remover? No one. Lucia wanted to do something that no one else was even thinking about. I called Antidote a game changer, and I wondered why someone didn’t think of it sooner; those words sound a lot like what people said to me about Bee’s Knees Knee Pads when I first started.

Lucia and Apolethecary are a love connection for me and Bee's Knees, and I just couldn’t keep her great products a secret!
